Ok here we go...

1. In that write up about installing the CCT, it says the bolts are "torqued". Is this necessary, or do I just tighten them up as best I can?

2. With the removing of the little metal key, what do you do, just pull it out, twist it or something else?

Answers appreciated, thanks in advance...

About to install, do not want to f#$k it up...

1) It's always a good idea to torque all bolts to the correct spec

2) just pull it out, AFTER, I repeat, AFTER you have it installed and torque'd

Just did an updated cam tensioner install on my '99 over lunch (10 minute job that took 30 thanks to a stripped allen head that required a left handed drill bit). This should eliminate a marbles in the coffee can sound on startup, I sounded good once under way. Got to see under the covers a bit, there is some neat stuff there!

First time taking off the fairing, pretty straightforward job.

Now to get that R1 regulator...

I maintain a small personal fleet of aging Italian sports cars, and I have to say: I love working on my Honda!

Sometimes I'm happy to not have my mechanical skills challenged. I spent way more time cleaning behind the cowlings than I did installing the CCT.

Thanks to John01XX for providing the CCT in a quick and efficient manner...
