  3. Sale pending to a deserving board member. Don't ask who it is, they may want to surprise you.
  4. Thanks. Several interested parties now so I suspect it will not last a week. If I hadn't already bought firedlt 2003 from out in Washington I would have been calling you as well. Very nice looking ride with a bunch of extras. Somebody will pick this up soon and enjoy her as much as I am enjoying mine. Hope she sells soon for you. I will be happy to see this go to a board member that will really appreciate it! Just getting the handling right was really expensive and time consuming - but worth it.
  5. Thanks. Several interested parties now so I suspect it will not last a week.
  6. Will also include factory shop manual and a cover that fits on with the luggage if I get a reasonable price.
  7. SOLD Before I list this on ebay I wanted to put it out for your consideration. Bike is in New Hope, PA 18938 This is a very well sorted BB with a slew of really, really nice upgrades and farkles The highlights are: 5,500 miles, Two Adult Owners (old guys in their 40's) Extremely CLEAN with complete 2003 Bodywork, forks, swingarm, chain, tank and engine covers - these all have only 2k miles on them! No, not replaced because of an accident, this was one of two project bikes the original owner had (long but interesting story) Fresh Penske Double Adjustable with Hyperco Spring for 190lb rider Revised front springs and gold valves with new triple clamp bearings Carrozzeria Wheels in silver (rear is 6" wide and will take stock 180 or 190 tire – has a 180 now) with one less tooth on the Sidewinder Tri-Metal rear sprocket (speedo now reads correctly!) Dual HID (Euro Headlight Switch) with Clear Alternatives all around Givi Top Mount Luggage Gunfighter and Lady (full disclosure there is mild wear on this, I bought used) Leo Vinci Titanium Cans Throttlemaster Cruise Control Heli-Bars and Mirror Extenders Aluminum Frame Plugs Fiberglass Hugger, Fender Extender, various Faux Carbon Fiber Accents, Bodywork Savers MRA Vario Windscreen New in the last year: ETX 12 Sealed Battery, Honda Synthetic Oil Change, Plugs, Air Filter, Chain Tensioner, Fuel Pressure Regulator, BMW Phosphate Free Coolant, PAIR Blockoff All the original parts (windscreen, mufflers, indicators, like new factory seat) included except factory wheels, plus a bunch of other stuff like complete rotor set, lowering pegs and more I am probably missing something but you get the idea, this is a beautiful super low miles Blackbird with the look of the 2003 and it rides and handles really, really well. NO ISSUES, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS. Here is a web album full of high rez shots: http://picasaweb.google.com/cbracerx/HondaCBR1100XXBlackbird Hopefully someone on here can benefit from my moving on. NOT PARTING OUT. Chris If a forum member buys it I will throw in a Power Commander DynaJet II (I bought used and never installed)
  8. Nice use of space, you still have room for the Penske remote reservoir and some beer nuts
  9. Update: Many rides later the replacement of the stock FPR with another stock version cured the issues. Thanks for the help!
  10. Some great bikes at great prices lately! So, at the risk of sounding like a noob - what is that handle in the center of the triple tree for?
  11. Here is the direct link, they do not have a front only kit... https://helperformance.com/shop/us/lines/cbs.htm
  12. They are smoking glue on the harness prices. The harness cost almost as much as the gauge, looked up the instructions and it is only 5 wires so no way I'm paying $58+ for a harness. Yep, I agree - the universal version seems like the ticket unless there is a cheaper source.
  13. I found the Acumen here but with the BB specific plug and play harness it is $159! Anyone have a cheaper source? http://motojunker.com/index.php?main_page=...56da378ae271057
  14. Subscribing as I would like a solution for this also that is not a $60 LED package...
  15. Page 1-6 in the service manual says 50psi and my stock '02 FPR measures 50psi. My service manual is for the 99-2000 and has the 43 psi pressure as listed about. The "apparently" for the later years came from trying to find other posts that had this info. So now that we have a service manual reference for the later years, the new percentage (at idle) is 19% lower for the TC version used on later (2001-) Birds. I had another exchange with them today about their testing a 50 psi version of the FPR, that makes more sense now! They will have results in two weeks. Do you want my 2003 stock one? I'll send it to you. It was working fine when I took it out 3 weeks ago. Hell, if it was not raining I could drop it off tonight. Generous offer, thanks! I have a new one (stock along with plugs and air filter) coming tomorrow or Thurs. I am in NYC both days so I guess Friday is my first riding opportunity. Yes, this rain would be a bummer if I had a running BB cbracerx, any word from Turbo City on the 50# regulator for the '99 -'00 XX? Mr. Mike. Nothing yet. I went with the stock reg and it arrived a few days ago. Installed it and things appear to be fixed, but the weather and work has not let me ride to confirm.
  16. "You won't have the problem with the '97. With the '99 (and I think '00 and up) Honda wired 2 hot wires to the reg and 2 ground wires. If you look at the schematic, they join in the wiring harness so it must have something to do with the design of the Honda r/r. " So with an R1 install on a '99, can you plug the outputs (Red and Green) into one of the two connections for each of these and let the upstream connection handle getting the power around?
  17. Thanks, I found it odd that the BB had a CR9E from the factory! Off to install the better ones. Good site to keep bookmarked, I liked the details links on the plugs. Now I know what Iridium is all about.
  18. I decided to change the plugs on my '99 while waiting for my FPR to appear. I bought the stock plugs for this year per the shop manual and factory parts diagram - CR9EHVX. When I removed my old plugs (with 5K miles on them) they are the CR9E. More to the point, the old plugs have a different thread arrangement than the new plugs. Is this ok?
  19. I have a full set also from an '03 with 4K miles on them. Same $150 offer.
