PredatorXX Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Would this fit the back of a 1997? Or anybody know what 200 tire will? Thanks in advance. Quote

demon Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 A 200 is WAY too wide for the 5.5 inch wheel. You can run a 190 but it might feel more sluggish. Quote
bartonmd Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Only a 190 is the biggest then? Why do you want a 200? drag racing? looks? Certainly NOT for handling... Mike Quote
demon Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 You could probably squeeze a 200 on it, but your handling will suffer. You'll be squeezing the beads of the tire together more than they were designed to. Doing that will make the curve from the center of the tire to the edge more round and you'll actually have less rubber on the road when leaned over. Oh, and to add that you might not have the cleareance to run a 200 with the centerstand. You'd have to check your clearance to the chain as well. A 190 is getting close to the chain, a 200 will be that much closer. Quote
PredatorXX Posted April 21, 2006 Author Posted April 21, 2006 Looks like there would be enough room for it to clear the swing arm but a little tight on the rim. Quote
The Krypt Keeper Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 This thread reminds me of the guy at work that owns a Burgman 400 Scooter. He wanted to add a bigger tire for looks Its a fucking scooter :icon_duh: But then again he spent $4000 to put 21" blingy rims and some stupid ass racing tires on his late 70's chevy 4X4 Quote
