    EBC BRAKE PADS

What's the best quickest source for brake pads? I ordered them through the local stealer 13 days ago and I just found out today they are being "barged" to Alaska. Stupid motherfuckers!!!!

    REAR DISC

I ordered 3 sets of pads, figured I would replace them all. The grooves are circular and not very deep at all. Very minor so I guess I should be ok. The pads should be here in a week. Thanks for the info.

    REAR DISC

My rear brake didn't seem to be grabbing very well so I checked it out and the pads are about gone. There are some very fine grooves in the rotor. Will those grooves cause a problem? The front rotors are nice and smooth. I just ordered some EBC pads.
  4. The only wobble I experienced with the side and top cases was on decelleration between 40-45 mph.
  5. Not really. I rode it yesterday and then again today. But it did sit during the winter. But I started it about once a month and its in a heated garage.
  6. I have about 16,000 miles on my XX and it still has the original plugs. It has been sputtering a bit at low rpms and definitely doesn't idle smoothly. I rejetted two years ago with a dyno-jet kit and have the 2-Bros and K&N filter. Any suggestions?
  7. That is something that has amazed me about the CF cans. The won't burn the crap out of you. They seem to run much cooler.
  8. I have the 2 bros carbon fiber on my black 97XX. They look and sound great. Nice deep rumble to them. Not too loud.

This bike ranks right up there with some of the best designs ever.

    Clutch Change

That's too funny. I have never even thought about the clutch. Except for my 1972 Honda 500, I have never had to change a clutch. and I've had: 1972 Honda 500 1976 Honda 750 1978 Honda 750 F 1979 Honda 750 Supersport 1981 Honda 900 Supersport 1987 Honda Interceptor 1993 Honda VFR 750 1997 Honda XX
  11. Well my bike has been in my friends garage all winter here in Schaumburg Ilinois and he didn't start it and I didn't winterize it. I just flew in this morning from Anchorage and when I went to start it ... no go!! It cranks, and will stumble now and then but no start. It's 1:00 pm, Thursday here in Illinois and I need some help fast if I plan to head out on Friday and attend MIXXT.
  12. Yeah, its usually the hoses hooked up incorrectly. So, basically.. "you're hosed" I wish I had a pic to send you of the routing.
  13. Radio shack doesn't carry anything with that much wattage. Are you guys sure of these numbers? They Have 8 ohm 20 watt resistors for $2.30 each
  14. I mentioned this once before but didn't get clear answer. I replaced my rear turn signals with LEDs when I installed the Mototek Undertail. Now the turn signals flash at a high rate. What can I do to slow them down back to normal. I was told i can install a "Load equalizer" but I would have to buy two of them and they are $16.00 a piece. Is there a simpler way to do this?

    HELP!

LOL I feel the same way when I start working on stuff, maybe I should just step back and have someone else do it. It took me days to install the Mototeck undertail.

    Tools

Almost every tool I buy comes with a case. The few that didn't I went to Home Depot or Lowes and picked up a plastic tool box for storage. It helps keep them from getting damaged from knocking around and keeps all the parts and pices together. I just picked up a small tool box for about $5.00 at Home Depot for my sander and sand paper. Now if I could just get Jackie to put them back in the cases when she's done using them.

This looks very functional. I may consider getting one of these

Rolling work-cart? Which is that? What do you have in the way of tool boxes? I have one 5-drawer tool box on wheels and am looking at buying another bigger one. They have some a Home Depot, good prices.

    HELP!

I just had a similar experience with a fairing bolt. I went to the local hardware store and bought a tap just for that size and the wrench, cost me about $10. I ran the tap through to clean up the threads and I was back in business. I did not have to use a helicoil. You can buy a helicoil set, which includes the tap and the helicoil to replace the threads that were damaged. I think the sets were about $25
  23. This is the plastic I use to repair my fairing.
  24. I have the standard polished too. Looks great on a black bike. I do have some problems with it "holding" since I put the heated grips on though.
  25. Man, I had bad gas last nite! Whew!!! No sex for me, wife wouldn't go near me.
