  1. One thing that has come in handy for me and I would never leave home without is a length (maybe 4 feet) of clear plastic hose. Great for siphoning from another bike or vehicle gas tank if you run out of gas in the middle of knowhere.
  2. Not related to the tires but to a previous reply. An FJR with more horsepower than the blackbird? I am not that familiar with the FJR but I never would have thought it had more hp than the bird.
  3. my bet is the K&N filter. I had the exact same problem, low mileage black pipes. I put the stock filter back in and it's back to normal. I would try putting the stock filter back in and see what happens.

I just did it within the last week also on my 02 bird. I agree, they are awsome and provide a huge difference. Besides cutting of the tabs on the brake and clutch lines it was fairly easy and I have no issues with the hoses or anything. I would not have even thought you could do it unless I read it on this site. Thanks
  5. Thanks, I actually have very small hairline cracks around the rear right side cargo tie down. Not sure if it related to my wingrack or not, I just wanted to be certain they are torqued correct. Right now it is at 20nm. I figured the clip on risers would be around 20nm as well.
  6. Can anyone tell me the proper torque for the Givi Wingrack bolts. Also the torque for the bar risers. I just installed the VFR bars and need the proper torque. Greatly appreciated.
  7. it is not a california or Euro bike, so I guess it does not have an o2 sensor. Thanks for the suggestions.
  8. I think it has an 02 sensor. It came pre-oiled so I just put it in. It did not seem like there would have been too much oil. If the 02 sensor is the white plug looking thing in the air box, it was perfectly white and clean.
  9. I put a K&N filter in my stock 02 bird for a couple of months. Immediately I noticed bad gas mileage and was getting about 220km per tank (about 35 mpg). As well the end of my pipes had black carbon deposits on the end and the inside of the pipes. I put the regular oem honda filter back in and I am back to normal, 270 km per tank (45 mpg) and my pipes are perfectly clean. My theory is that with the increased amount of air the computer also adds more fuel and creates a rich mixture. Maybe someone else has had or noticed this problem as well.
