  1. Sweet name..

Get a FJR, not a cruiser, you will be so disappointed. JMHO

  2. Oh lordy, this is where I prove how stupid I am, are the pipes on the BB not stainless?
  3. OMG, new chain is on, bike sounds soooooo much better! I thought I was riding an army tank at times, racket was unreal. Dealer said, "steering head was fine, was tightened to specs" yet the clunk has vanished! Go figure? Anyway, I am a happy female for awhile! Thanks guys for the responses.
  4. My OEM chain on my 2003 BB was replaced today at 24,000kms. It was shot. What is the "normal" life of a chain on a BB, and what are the recommended lube intervals??? When backing the bike out of the garage, there was an audible "clunk" in the front end. With the bike jacked up and moving the forks, it was clear the steering bearings are in need of a retorqueing, or worse, a replacement. What has been the experience of the group on this item; improperly torqued from the factory perhaps? A "regular " service item, and if so, what interval??
  5. Ok, from a female's point of view. When I look at your pic.........there is way too much too look at and nothing really stands out (your eye wonders instead of focusing). I think I would leave the cabinets as is and paint them white to match the countertop. I am sure you have heard the saying........less is more?
  6. During the course I instruct, I see people do this all the time. I stand there, watch, let them try and try to start it. I say nothing for quite awhile.......finally they look at me in desperation, what the hell? I then tell them.....again, kickstand is down. It seems if I tell them right away, they don't remember, but if I let them get totally frustrated, they seem to remember!!?? Last course, I knew we had a problem when during the first few hours of course, this lady forgot to put her kickstand down and the bike fell right on top of her as she tried to get off. Do you see why the classes are good for some people????
  7. LOL....would anyone really admit to this one? Sorry, couldn't resist.
  8. Fingers going numb? Relax, sometimes people tend to hang on with a death grip and this results in a tingle in their hands.
  9. Got a notice from Honda Canada in March. "Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has decided that a defect relating to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2003 model year CBR1100XX motorcycles. The brake proportioning valve could develop a leak. Over time, the leak could result in a total loss of brake fluid in the rear brake system. If the motorcycle continues to be used after a leak occurs, the rear brake would eventually become inoperative. In the worst case, a loss of rear brake force may cause a crash without warning".
  10. Joe, I have a question for you, including purchase of your new toy, just how much did this sidewalk going to cost in the end? BTW - nice job!
  11. Every tire I have on the BB has had a plug put in them. This new bike, I had it only 2 weeks drove over a staple somewhere. I go to the same local garage (they don't remove tire) and they put the plug in for me......have never had a problem yet. So....I have had absolutely no problem with plugs.
  12. ~~~~~~TOXXIC~~~~~~~ Let us hope he read your second post first!! If we never hear from him again, we can assume otherwise. LOL.....Crystal Ride it like ya stole it.
