egadrotu
I took off the right lower fairing after adding some custom free form designs on, it looks just like road rash, and I noticed that the vent area right next to the radiator cap lightly touches the radiator hose. I looked for any white stress creases in the plastic and didn't see any. There is a slight rub mark on the hose from the contact. Is anyone else's bike like this? All my fairing mounts looked fine. Does your fairing touch your radiator hose?
Guest
Does your fairing touch your radiator hose? Only if I buy her dinner and a movie Seriously bro, don't know, it keeps running, so I'm not concerned.
egadrotu
I'm just using it as a point of reference to see if anything is bent or out of shape that I haven't noticed.
Guest
I have no idea, really. I remember when I did the CCT in January, the padding on the inside of the fairing was pushed in on a couple spots, prolly where the hose is. It didn't seem a problem, so I left it alone. The left side fairing doesn't even have padding on my bike....got that piece used and repainted. Doesn't make a difference to me either. Good luck, hope nothing is bent. I don't know if fairing can lose their shape....maybe the curve is gone from your fairing when it touched terrafirma?
FiXXation
The inside lip of the right side lower fairing exhaust scoop just touches the radiator hose with slight pressure on my 2003 with 500 miles and no damage.
egadrotu
From what FiXXation said, I think I am OK. Like I said, I didn't see any of those telltale white lines indicating a bend or anything. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks
XX4me
Mine touched, foot peg feelers too, until I put the 6mm spacer under the rear shock.
