John01XX
Is the coolant drain plug located on the right side down low and is a large allen bolt?
Zero Knievel
Nope. IIRC, it's a hex bolt on the coolant pump hose (metal part) near the housing.
redxxrdr
John, Mike is right. Plug is near the pump. Chapter 6 of the manual. Attaching some poor I photos of the pages. I think I pulled the lower hose to speed things up the last time I did it. Don't forget your overflow reservoir. Edit, There appears to be a drain plug at the cylinder base too. Sorry, the picture in the manual leaves a little to be desired. Edited December 14, 2015 by redxxrdr
John01XX
Thanks guys, I was to quick to ask before trying google. Coolant flush done and now full of Evan's waterless coolant. Going for a ride to circulate the coolant a bit and then come back home and let it cool and then burp and top off. Then reinstall cowlings! John01XX
Went riding today and I think I am going to like the Evans coolant but won't really be able to get a real test done until mid summer with 90 degree temps and traffic jams!
