racer212
Will an Akrapovic FS exhaust from a 1997 bird fit on a 2000?
Redbird
Yes, it'll bolt right up, but you'll need to mod (extend) to lower radiator mount a bit. You then end up with a very snug fit between the radiator and that V shaped center fairing piece, but you shouldn't have to trim anything as long you get the length just right on that lower mount. edit- thinking about it, there may have been a bend involved in that lower mount as well. It's literally been more than a decade since I installed it, but I ran a carbie Akro system on my '01. The lower radiator mount was the only complication in installing it. racer212
Kid walked in the door of the shop with a fucking full Ti 4-1 Akrapovic didnt want - got it for $100 lol. Nasty dirt, decal mostly missing but not a ding or mark on it....
Redbird
Nice. That was a $1,000+ system back in the day, wasn't it? Should be worth a little fiddling on the install.

More than that I would think. The last Akra Ti I bought was for my 06 R1 and it was $1300 dealer cost.
Redbird
In my defense, I did say $1000+. Never priced the Akrapovic full Ti system, but I knew a Ti-Force full system could be had for $1200-$1300 ten or twelve years ago. Regardless, congrats on the nice score. DBLXX
You bought a stolen exhaust? That's illegal :0)
blackhawkxx
It really isn't good to put a carb header on a FI bike. It might blow up or something but it will work perfect on my 97. Since you seem like a good guy and all, I'll take it off your hands and even cover the shipping.
