Motobeagle
I ordered a smaller rear (x2) for better mileage. Anyone know if I need to shorten the chain, and at 8500 miles should I go ahead and replace the front sprocket/chain? I just wanted to try this setup so it's nothing long term for now, just experimenting.
MaXX
You will probably want to shorten the chain 2 links or you will way back in the axle holes to keep it tight. I would just cut 2 out, will keep you near the stock location for chain stretch.... MaXX
Motobeagle
I changed the order to up one in the front. Hopefully this will help my length issues. Thanks guy's. You to Tim.
Northman
Where'd you get the front sprocket, Jerry? FYI, one up in the front is like down three in the back, but should correct the factory speedo nicely. I'll be doing the exact same, but not to help mileage.
Motobeagle
Sprocket specialists. I'm looking forward to the longer first gear wheelies.
