The Armory is Closed...(it's all gone and you missed it)

Recommended Posts

Howdy Boys,

'Sorry I haven't been around in a while. 2012 was pretty shitty, 2013 has been great, and I need to catch back up (and get riding again)..

I assume the rules around here (all none of them) haven't changed, so I'll post stuff here first...

Some of the armory is about to go. It's also being posted locally (much easier for the seller), but I'll always consider any reasonable offer from members around here. Please note that every applicable law relating to the sale of firearms will be adhered to.

Yes, I will post more pics later....

Here's what we have for sale...

1.) Wilson Combat Professional - Commander sized 1911, 4" barrel. Will include 6 (I think) Wilson 47D magazines. I'll edit this later with round count. This firearm used to be my daily carry, so it has NOT been a save queen. Not one, ONE, malfunction in apprximately 1,000 rounds fired. These things retail for nearly $3k new, although I didn't come close to paying that amount.

2.) Springfield Armory TRP - Governement sized 1911. IT's the one with the light mounted in the pic (yes, I am including it). Comes with 4 magazines. One FTF in the first 50 rounds, and not one blip after that (I think 1200 total rounds, but I will confirm). Comes with two SA 7 round mags and 2 Chip McCormick 8 round mags...

3.) Springfield Armory M1a Scout mounted in a SAGE EBR stock (1st generation)... Forearm grip. Will come with many magazines (20ish) - nothing crap. There is also a Leupy 2.5 Scout scope on it, although I never sighted it in. Pics later.

4.) Considering selling a real prize... A pre-ban, USGI M1A. USGI bolt dates back to the late 70's. Bedded stock. Bought 5 years ago as a collector's item, and it belongs as one, and it deserves to be loved more than I can love it. This one is history....

5.) S&W J frame snubby, .38+p, I think it was their model 642, concealed hammer... This is perfect for summer weight tuck in the shorts.

More pics coming later. Prices and negotiations offline. If we can't do this F2F (South Florida), then we are going FFL to FFL. We'll agree to a price, and tack on FFL fees and actual shipping. Although locally is easier, I'd love to sell them here... I have a lot of great memories around here.

The pics... the solo pic is the Professional. In the pic with both 1911's, the Sprigfield Armory TRP is the one with the light mounted. Pics of the M1a's and .38 will be up later....

I'll throw prices above later on. Those who remember me around here know that when it comes to firearms: 1.) I don't do crap, and 2.) I know what I have so if you make a stupid offer I won't respond to the offer or anything else you may send me later.

Good to see you posting again.

This would be easier if you listed a price.

I'm going to send you an offer for the Wilson.

Naturally,I hope to get the deal of the century without insulting you.

Just saying.

Cal

Geeze boys.. earlier was just the head's up... here's the details....

(this is the verbiage I am posting elsewhere. We can talk about the prices....)

S&W Airweight model 642 – 300 rounds fired. Frequent carry, so the finish is average. Functions perfectly. $390ish new, selling for $175.

Browning Buckmark Pro Target 5.5” Bull - approximately 350 rounds fired. $375 new, selling for $200.

Wilson Combat Professional – Nearly $3,000 new. If you have to ask about Wilson Combat, this firearm probably is out of your league. 4” barrel that’s more accurate than any non customized 5” barrels I have ever shot. 1,678 rounds fired, exactly. Feeds any hollow-points offered it. Comes with 7 Wilson Combat 47D magazines, each has had zero malfunctions with this firearm. $1,500

Springfield Armory TRP – Model PCL9105. Approximately $1,450 new. 1,016 rounds fired. One FTF within the first 20 rounds as the slide was very tight coming from SA. Zero malfunctions since. Duty firearm, so it has some holster wear, but not much. Comes with 4 magazines (each mag has had zero malfunctions with this firearm) and tactical light (laser and/or light). $1,100.

Springfield Armory M1a – Set up in National Match condition:

NM Front and rear sights,

NM stainless steel oprod spring guide

NM unitized gas system using the “screwed & glued” method

Medium weight barrel

Action is nicely glass bedded to the stock

USGI TWR bolt, SN 017xx, which puts it in the 1980 range, as confirmed by Springfield Armory

M1 Garand hammer

This is a collector’s rifle… $1,900.

M1a SOCOM in a SAGE EBR stock

406 rounds fired.

Comes with (30) 20 round magazines

Leupold FX-II 2.5x28mm scope. Not the ideal optic, but it works well.

Stock alone is approx $700 and a new M1a SOCOM is $1,500. All in, $1700

Springfield Armory PC9105L

Pre Ban M1a in National Match configuration.....

Buckmark.....

And the M1a SOCCOM with the Sage EBR stock....

Cal and Redbird.. those are absolutely shipped prices. I haven't used an FFL here in FL before, so I don't know how much of an ass-raping they give, so let me find out. Definitely not more than the prices listed above. I'm considering both SPF. I'm pretty swamped this week with that thing they call work, but PM me if you'd like any more info or pics. I can literally tell you how many rounds of each ammo have been through those firearms. I'm anal that way....

Have you shipped a firearm before?

I have made the expensive mistake of shipping UPS.

They require a handgun to be shipped next day delivery.

I found out that my local ffl guy gets a huge break shipping firearms.

Could have saved me 50%.

FWIW, I paid $78 to ship 2 CZ'S. OR to AZ.

I've shipped before, but always through an FFL. I buy a lot (thus the sale), but don't sell a lot....

'Sounds like shipping through an FFL, even with their fee, might be cheaper than shipping as a retail customer so we don't have to pay for overnight....

And the Buckmark is Cal's...

Cal - still no dice on the PM's. You must have lots of pen-pals!

Anybody willing to share an email addy for him? If so, please PM it to me as this is a public sub-forum...

I call 2nd on the Airweight if Redbird doesn't take it.

I'm thinking he's good for it.

Get the TRP instead. Outstanding 1911.... or the Pre-ban M1a with lots of goodies....

The Snubbie, MI1a in EBR stock, Buckmark, and Wilson are all SPF.... Only the TRP (now $900) and the MAtch M1a ($1700) are still open....

Money is already on the way, sorry. :P

Only the TRP (now $900)

Dude, you are pure evil. Nope, not going to do it...

You're already paying for shipping and FFL once... 'Can put it in the same box... $800 on top of the check you already sent....

I know, I suck....

FWIW, I see I am now 400+ PM's over my limit since the "new server" took over limiting me to 500 PM's.

Some of these PM's go back along time. I need to read them again.

Memories of Mac & Jerry, XX meets and personal advise.

Some with valuable info related to bikes and guns.

I simply can't let them go with one "click" of delete.

Please use my Comcast.net addy for further communication.
