NoOne65
Perhaps one of you guys can help me troubleshoot my fan issue. Obviously from my title you can tell I am overheating but as long as I am moving it doesnt overheat...that tells me the fan isnt working like it should. Looking at the schematic if i ground the wire to the thermo switch the fan should kick on...shouldnt it? Also I checked the switch immediately after turning the bike off (with coolant bubbliing into the overflow) and it showed infinite resistance (which if it were failed open should also just keep the fan on...right?) Zero Knievel
Most sportbikes have switches that kick in way too hot (IMHO). So far every sportbike I've had needed a bypass swtich so I could manually turn the fan on and off.
NoOne65
I feel like an idiot...When I checked the fuse I must have checked an adjacent fuse instead of the fan fuse...BLOWN FUSE...Thanks for the feedback!J
Zero Knievel
Hmmm....that fuse should never blow. If it happens again, something's shorted. The fan simply doesn't draw that much current.
