My mechanic threw tester on it and showed me how as the battery tops off, the amperage drops off - which indicates the regulator is working properly. I noticed that my regulator is fairly new also. rc46 Posted May 14, 2016 Share Posted May 14, 2016 Check out the new series regulators(shindegen sh775, etc) Its a fairly new technology, but a few new bikes come with them from the factory. They reduce the power produced from the stator if its not needed. This should give longer stator and regulator life as there is much less excess current(and the destructive heat) to have to get rid of.
