silverbird1100
I ran across my old Sport Rider and there was an article about a 210,000 miles CBR900 engine. The XX is essentially a bored out CBR900 I read some time ago. He said he used Castrol GTX car oil every 5000! miles and the filter every other change. The engine is still very strong with no gearbox problems. I just found this interesting with all the oil talk going on.
JJP XX
My 97 XX has 75,800 miles. My 94 Mustang GT Convertible has 125,000 miles on it. My old 86 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe had 199,000 miles on it when I sold it. It also had the original turbo unit! That car now has 257,000 miles on it AND on the original 4 cylinder engine...body is shot now. All vehicles have the oil changed every 3000 miles with Pennzoil 10/40. My 99 Mustang GT Coupe, with 65,900 miles, uses 5/30 oil and I'm using Pennzoil in that too.
