03 CBR600RR SOLD....E. TN

Recommended Posts

I am selling my wife's '03 600RR, as she is now riding my '07 600RR. She purchased this bike in October, 2007, with 57xx miles on it and she is the second owner of this bike. The bike is now approx 9 years old and it has 16,714 miles on it, which works out to less than 2000 miles a year. The bike is mechanically sound and runs very well with absolutely NO issues. All maint. that has been done to the bike has been done by me, which is all the usual minor stuff.....oil and filter, coolant, tires, lubing the chain, etc. This bike has had nothing but Mobil 1 15W-50 in it since she bought it, and the previous owner told me that he ran the Honda Syn oil in it. I've always used the Honda filters too. The bike presently has Engine Ice coolant in it, which is good down to -26 degrees. There are some minor paint flaws and chips, as you would expect from a 9 year old bike. It was dropped one time since she owned it, and I cannot say whether or not it was dropped by the previous owner. There is nothing cracked or broken on the body work and in fact, when she dropped it, she was sitting still and her foot slid out from under her on some gravel. The bike actually dropped on her and didn't suffer any damage. The bike also fell over one time while at Nashville Super Speedway, during a track day. The damage amounted to a broken right front turn signal and a slightly bent right front rotor. The turn signal was replaced and the brake rotor was professionally straightened. This happened in 2008 and she has been riding the bike ever since then with absolutely NO issues.

This bike comes with a clean and clear Tennessee title. Here is a list of the following items that are on this bike.

1. Arata Full Exhaust system

2. DynoJet Power Commander III

3. Puig Dark Smoke Windscreen

4. H.I.D. Headlight for the low beam

5. O.E.S. brand frame sliders

6. Swing arm spools...........left side spool mount weld is partially broken.

7. Short Stalk Rear Turn signals

8. Progrip Tank Pad

9. Vista Cruise Throttle Lock

10. Safety Wired at Oil fill, drain, filter, rear axle and front wheel pinch bolts

11. Michelin Pilot Powers front and rear with at least 50% tread left.

This bike has been kept in a garage and has obviously been well taken care of. The NADA price guide for this bike, with an aftermarket exhaust shows a value of $4569. Considering the low mileage and all of the extras that are on this bike, she would like to get $4500 for it.

You may contact me via PM on this forum if you are interested in it and we can exchange phone numbers and talk if you like. We live in the Maryville, TN area and you are welcome to come see the bike in person if that would be convenient for you. There will be ABSOLUTELY no test rides without money in hand. I'm not trying to act like a **** about this, but if someone test rides it and crashes it, I'm not going to be the one to be out the money for repairs.......I'm sure that you can see that makes sense.

Here are some pictures of the bike, as well as the VIN number and the Odometer. If someone has a need for a special picture of something that is not shown, please PM me and I'll see what I can do

NOTE: I forgot to put the date that the pictures were taken, on my sign. Every picture was taken on............8/14/2012

So without further delay, here are the pictures...............

Thanks! I bought an Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 Motard and that is what I'm going to be riding. I was going to sell my '07 600RR and I started thinking that maybe she would be better off on the '07 than her '03. The '07 is lighter weight, more power, and she can almost flat foot the '07 because it's that much narrower at the back of the tank than her '03........same seat height for both.

You funny guy.

I would love to have that bike, but six in the garage already draws regularly scheduled dark looks from my wife. I could get rid of one but, &4%((#...

Okay, I'm all right. Just completely lost my senses for a moment.

Thank you! I've been talking to a fellow in Arkansas that says that he is going to buy the bike, but needs until the end of this month to finish getting his funds together..........so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this doesn't fall through.

I have to say, it is certainly a lot of fun. I've added a "FatDuc" which is basically a resistor circuit that is inline with the O2 sensor and the bike pretty much runs flawlessly. I've got the front forks off of it right now and am going to Asheville, NC area next Friday to have some cartridges put in them. The front suspension is not bad from the factory, but I guess I'm spoiled a bit from riding my track bike with Ohlins valving and stuff in the front. I made 6 passes through Deals Gap yesterday afternoon and can certainly see where a little better front suspension would add to the confidence factor. I got the seat redone not long after I bought it and it too is now pretty good for some 300 mile days, whereas before, it was a struggle to put 75 miles on it without stopping.
