bar10dah
No, not the normal type... I'm looking at fork oil for the stock suspension. What does everyone use? I'll probably go with Motul at the Honda specified weight, but I'd like to hear what else everyone uses.
Mithrandir
Motul is good. Stock honda weight is ATF, which is about equivalent to 8W in Motul. You'll need to get 5W and 10W and blend in the right proportions to get the right value. Or, just go 50/50 mix and that'll give you 7.5W
Redbird
Stock Honda oil is "SS8", which is Hondaspeak for 10w (SS7 is 5w, don't ask me how they decided on the "SS" numbers, they have little relation to the actual weight of the oil). I'm using Golden Spectro 10w with good results. Reminds me I'm due for a change.......
xrated
I put the stock Honda oil back in my forks when I took them apart for the RaceTech springs last year. I'm happy with it, but I'm sure that there are other goods ones out there.
tvking
I felt that the stock fork is over damped. (175lbs.) So when had mine apart I switched to 5w. Seems somewhat better. I know I really need springs and valves.
