y2kxx Posted March 19, 2010 Share Posted March 19, 2010 Fellas, Up for sale is my '99 bird. She's got just over 30k miles, and is in absolute pristine condition -- original paint/plastics/seat. Her valves were checked at 26k miles (I purchased her at 26.8k miles -- I'm the third owner), and were in perfect spec. As soon as I bought her, I immediately flushed/replaced ALL fluids, replaced both front/rear sprockets (OEM gearing), replaced the chain (D.I.D.), and replaced the OEM lenses with those from Clear Alternative. Around 1.5K miles ago, I replaced the front/rear tires with Dunlop Qualifiers. This XX also has HeliBar risers, as well as Staintune pipes (there is no Power Commander on her, but she runs/sounds great -- my guess is that she was Dyno'd after the original owner had the after-market pipes installed). I'm also including a Cortech magnetic tank bag, as well as a Ventura pack system -- includes all black mounting brackets/racks, along with two of Ventura's packs (which zip together -- see pictures). I'm open to selling these separately, but would prefer they go as a "package deal". Bike is located in the greater Colorado Springs area. I've had a few members ask me for the Ventura system -- I prefer to keep it a "package deal"; however, if the future buyer doesn't want, I'll be happy to part it out. I also have a brand new ThrottleMeister (still in the box -- "standard" bar ends) I'm willing to sell. As for your plate, very cool. Honestly, once I sell my "bird", I will realistically not have any need to be a member of this forum -- perhaps you can ask the "powers that be" if you can take over my moniker.
