sprockets and chains

I have a quick question. Has anyone used the JT brand sprockets and what did you think of them? I want to go to a 44 tooth rear but sunstar doesn't have one that I can find. Also, what brand of chain was OEM on the Bird? Not really wanting to drop 160 on a new D.I.D gold chain. Didn't seem to last any longer or perform any better than a good quality o-ring chain. I am a fanatic about clean and lubed and properly tensioned chains. Thanks for your input.

JT brand will outlast the chain no problem, have used front and rear JTs. Be sure to check white buffalo racing for chain prices, historically, they have had the ZVMs for least cost, but I haven't bought one for over a year. Check chaparral racing for the sprockets you need too, they have em, and chains, so do your price+shipping etc compare from at least those two places.

Thanks Justin, I'll check em out.

Afam makes a 44t in steel.

Ended up putting on a Sunstar front sprocket-17t...A JT rear sprocket-44t and a Tsubaki o-ring chain. If their claims are true, this chain has a higher tensile strength than the d.i.d gold. Time will tell. Thanks for the input.
