ZRX1100JIM Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 My stock r/r shit the bed a couple of weeks ago. I've replaced it with an R1 r/r. I've never thought of reaching down and touching the r/r. Well, after a 6 mile ride I felt the r/r and it was pretty hot. Out of curiosity i bought one of those infra red temp gauges. The r/r was 161* F. I've checked all the wiring and cleaned all the grounds. 13.2 with key off. 12.8 with key on. 14.1 at 5000 rpm. Are these things supposed to get this hot. Cause I have nothing to compare it to. I just ordered another one to keep under the seat as a spare. I also ordered a DATEL. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
