Aurora
Anyone ever fog their XX for winter storage? I am just curious how much of a PITA is the procedure to fog an XX for 6-7 month storage.
JuXXtin
Is that like pickling?
Redbird
Since when is winter 6-7 months long? It'll be just about as much of a pain as changing the plugs. Not too bad, but probably not worth the trouble just for winter storage. Unless perhaps your winter is 7 months long.
partsman
When you can get snow from Oct to April its 7 months long. If your storage area is prone to dampness and cold or a variable of temp then a little 2 stroke or fogging oil down the plug hole is good insurance.Been there. JonXX
I don't pickle anything that gets ran within months...Only years. But then, my shop is insulated and heated by (free) waste oil, so keeping it at a non-condensing temperature isn't a budgetary concern. ryancbrr
well id just spin it over for a few seconds with full throttle on( i know on the fuel injected birds this stops the engine from starting) and just spray wd 40 or something similar into the air intake after the air filter, thats if your worried bout, you could always just start it every month till it gets up to full temp then off again
TuffguyF4i
I'd have to see some documented evidence that there is a benefit to doing any more then just fuel stabilizer and trickle charger.
