Byrdman
How do powercoated bolt heads work out? I would think that tightening them down would chip off the coating?
Jaygermeister
How do powercoated bolt heads work out? I would think that tightening them down would chip off the coating? It scratches them little but not bad. Just use the right size tool and make sure it fits snug. However I think if you are going to be taking off the bolts on a regular basis they would start looking like crap.
Silverbird2
MUCH better. That is how it should have come from the factory.
jon haney
Nice, but you forgot to do the side-stand. :icon_doh: Did you have to scrape off some of the coating on the lever pivots or was there plenty of room for the extra thickness? Pat830
What kind of mufflers are those?
OrganDonor
They make plastic sleeves that snap into your sockets to protect the finish on chrome and painted bolt heads. Dunno where off the top of my head, but I've seen them in specialty garage catalogues.
