2003 Suzuki GSXR 1000

Recommended Posts

Alright, I bought the bike knowing that I would probably only keep it half the season, and then look for something closer to what I wanted. It was a great deal and couldn't pass it up. Rode it for a couple months now, and ready to move on to something else.

2003 GSXR 1000. $4000

40K Miles

Yoshi RS3 slip-on

Carbon frame sliders

New sprockets and chain (returned to stock gearing)

Front brake pads changed at beginning of the season

Fork seals redone at beginning of the season

Front and rear tires in great shape

Clean title in hand

I believe I am the third owner of the bike. The original owner had taken a couple trips to the dragon on it, and it was a daily driver. It was sold to the previous owner with some 38K on the odometer. The previous owner was a kid who rode it for a year before getting his girlfriend pregnant and all of his buddies getting rid of their bikes. Normal wear on plastic for a bike that has 40k road miles.

There are two things the new buyer will need to be aware of. The rear tail is white and the bike is silver. The tail appears to be off an 04 and was never painted to match the bike. Its not terribly obvious in the photos and doesn't look bad at all. Also, the original owner put after market rearsets on the bike and "forgot" to put a brake switch on the brake side. Rear brake works fine, but only front brake activates tail light.

The bike runs great. Oil is clean, exhaust is strong. It is light as a feather and a wheelie machine. Time for someone else to have their fun on her.

Selling locally in the next few days at $4400. Pretty firm on price.
