LogoMan
I'm getting ready to mount my tires on my new-too-me chrome rims. I thought now would be a good time to balance the new valve stems and caps before installing them on the rims. Whats the best method for doing this? blackhawkxx
I thought now would be a good time to balance the new valve stems and caps before installing them on the rims. I have heard of balancing the rims with stems installed before putting the tires on but before??? Before I hit submit, I thought that maybe you meant before installing the tires. If that is the case, I just use two jack stands and a rod. I take my time and make sure the wheel doesn't stop in the same place. I have never had a balance problem. LogoMan
Astroglide....hmmm, I never thought of using a friction modifier. I was thinking of using the crimp-on Honda OEM valve stem weights and possibly shimming the caps. I'm trying to get everything within a gram of each other and also get the valve cap heights adjusted so they're all rotating in the same plane. I may even polish the threads to get better airflow. Don't ask me how I know. Those right angle valve stem kits are harder to install than you'd think, but I'm all thumbs and fingers.
