RXX
I am replacing my relay harness to my fuse block. (Collateral damage from undertail replacement) The harness has copper wire, and the SAE pigtail I got MAY (not sure yet) have that silver wire, whatever it is. Both have same gauge, but before I solder or butt-splice them together I would like to know if there are insurmountable drawbacks like there would be in household (Al/Cu) wiring. These wires are going to the battery terminals power all my farkles so there will be a pretty big load on them at times. Thanks n advance! TuffguyF4i
You will be fine. Just make sure to use a non corrosive solder flux and good soldering principles.
01xxallen
I would think the "silver" is just a tinned copper wire. It helps with corrosion resistance. No aluminum wire can be found today. Solder away.
