Silverbird2
I have seen several different types and manufacturers. Has anyone narrowed it down to a particular one that is better than the rest? I can't get the link to work but here are a couple i found that look pretty good. http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi (it's the RLX-3) or http://www.ledlight.com/s25-27-ultra-brigh...-led-light.aspx

For quick and easy way to turn off the running lights like I did, just place a 1/4" piece of black electrical tape over one of the contacts on the bottom of the bulb. No wires to disconnect and easily reversable if you want to. I prefer the look of the clear lenses while riding verses the amber running lights plus the signal appears brighter when blinking on/off verses bright/dim. The led's have seperate bulbs for the indicator and the running lights so hooking them both up together doubled the light output for the indicators................ TuffguyF4i
I make my own. I used Red/Orange leds and kept the stock amber lens...sort of a reddish amber. Love them and they're super bright.

I saw your post where you showed how to make them. I thought of going that route but i am too lazy. The tower bulb seems easy and quick if i can find one that works.
