Frame differences between model years

I'm wondering what the differences are in the frame between the three versions of the Blackbird (97 & 98, 99 & 00, 01-07). I was looking at pictures of an '02 frame online and it didn't appear to have the same fairing mounts as my '99. Is that the case or is it just a bad pic?

Thanks,

Gray

As far as I am aware the only difference is that the 97-98 had a welded lug to mount the top rear bolt for the lower fairing (near your knee) whereas the later bikes had one bolted on :icon_confused: That and the fairing stay :icon_think:

'01-'02 has replaceable upper side cowl mounts.

'99-'01 has solid side cowl mounts, and like the later models, is fitted for the larger late model radiator and oil cooler.

'97-'98 has solid side cowl mounts and is fitted for the smaller radiator and oil cooler.

The fairing stay mount is the same for all years. FI frames ('99 on) have a different design to decrease resonant vibration, but its not a visible difference.
