jblackbird2000 Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Looking for a 99-00 ECM. I just realized my FI light dosen't come on anymore. I know that this is a strange concern considering most 99-00 bird owners can't get their FI light to stay OFF. But my concern is that if the FI light dosen't come on, what else isn't working correctly? I ruled out the wire harness as a possible problem by ensuring I have good continuity from the light on the dash, all the way back to the ECM. The bike still starts and runs without any issues, I haven't had it out on a long journey yet though, and these electrical gremlins I've been battleing are keeping me from having the confidence to do that. EATAa (edited again to add) ETA - If anyone has a good working one that they don't want to part with, but wouldn't mind lending me to test with before I go and drop $500, I'd sure as hell appreciate it! Never mind the wanted to borrow BS. I was able to put another ECU into my bike thanks to Kevin's (titaniumbird) willingness to let me try his.
