Sanghelli
Just replaced the fork seals in my brothers BB and we are getting strange feedback through the bars. I am a little anxious that we may have gotten some dirt in the forks while we had them stripped , could this be causing our problem? The feeling through the bars is like there is something rubbing inside the forks as they travel up and down. Fairly confident we did not damage the forks. All help appreciated. Thanks S
MrBadExxample
My initial guesses would be an inner or outer bushing is not seated properly, maybe a bent cartridge rod. Do you get this feeling in both forks or just one?

jon haney
You probably have something in a bind. Loosen the axle nut, axle pinch bolts, and lower triple clamp bolts. Apply the front brake and push on the bars to compress the forks a few times. Then start re-tightening everything starting with the axle nut, then the pinch bolts, and finally the lower triple clamp bolts. If that doesn't fix it, something is bent.
