Slowphil
03 Bird stalls as soon as the engine idles down, just after pulling in the clutch when coming to a stop. Bike was fine, didn't ride it for about 3 weeks, the next time I rode the stalling started happening. Any ideas what to start looking for. I tried grinding my teeth and banging my head against a wall but that didn't help. Thanks Slowphil

kevinskii
Another possibility is that if you recently fiddled with your idle speed adjustment knob, the set screw may have gotten detached from the wax unit. This would cause the bike to run normally during cold idle, and then die as soon as the computer switches over to warm idle.

Someone could have also turned it down on you.... might want to try and re set it...

runner
Is the stall a function of the clutch being pulled? (Coast to a stop in neutral without pulling in the clutch and see if it dies without touching the clutch...)
