timomasalin
Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving all! Needing a new chain, mainly due to negligent owner at 17.8K miles. Who uses what, what do you like? Thanks for the info!! T
Hobicus
DID ZVM2 110 link Usually order from White Buffalo Racing. See the vendor reviews section. Traditionally, it's worth it to replace the front sprocket with the chain. The stock rear sprockets are made of some amazing ubermetal that never causes them to wear. I've seen 50k miles on a rear sprocket with almost no visible wear.
Fast Eddy
Yes, chains are good. whips and chains...... whooops wrong thread/section DID 530 like Hobie said. You can save a little $$ and use Tsubaki or RK but they don't seem to last as long. So do you really save :icon_think:

OZDave
EK ZZZ :icon_goodsign: :icon_thumbsup: The ZZZ is the best chain I've had on my XX. Almost as good as the DID ZVM2.
tomek
ZVM2 rulez,30 k fricking miles with very casual maintenance like ,,,,,,,,oh shit,,, it is noisy even thru the plugs,,,where is my chain lube. ZVM2,it just sounds much better then EK ZZZ,that is why it is superior. :icon_nana:
redxxrdr
18 K on my OEM and another 18K and going strong on my DID ZVM2. The ZVM2 hasn't needed a adjustment yet. Remember that these use rivet master links. You will need the tool, or get someone to do it for you. I bought a second link on my first chain replacement and YES I needed it. Replace at least the front sprocket and take your time. You will be surprised how quiet a new chain is.
Bunbun
Another vote for the ZVM2 here. I had 17k on the OEM and i've got ~16k on the ZVM2. Only reason I've needed to adjust it is cause of a few tire changes. Hasn't actually stretched much if any that I can tell. Bun
Pete in PA
ZVM2 here also. Gold for the bling factor.
