tomek
Well, they are basically waste of money. In the spring I posted about marrying your crankcase and PAIR system . Well,it appears the best AMA tuners doing exactly the same,,,,,,,,,,,now,,,,,who leaked my top secret mod to those guys ????????? http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=30270
Dr. Ergal
I'm not involved in races, so my PAIR valves cover plates are in progress (by a AVIONAL 2024 plate) Another nice news coming soon
MrBadExxample
Well, they are basically waste of money. I'd disagree. I install PAIR plates to clean-up the top of the cylinder head, which facilitates maintenance in that area. For that they work just fine. AFAIK, The ones sold by Red J have never been promoted as a performance enhancement. BTW, in the article they said GSRX's build excessive crankcase pressure and blow out the countershaft seal. If the case is vented how does it build enough pressure to blow a seal?
Dr. Ergal
performance enhancement. Theoretically it is, but the increasing percentage is really scarce; the PAIR system subctratcs a little bit of fresh air from the airbox (and so, from the engine breathing stock). Without PAIR, this (little, of course) air amount is available for breathing, and so, for performance. Is it? You know, the contribution is poor, but with cents you can build a treasure

You know, the contribution is poor, but with cents you can build a treasure It is essential to do anything possible to lower pressure in crankcase. It is basically free power due to reduced aero drag from spinning crankshaft, etc ,reduced amount of oil pulled by spinning parts, better piston to cylinder seal. RAM AIR builds pressure in the airbox at speed,if crankcase vent is hooked up to air box ,,,,,,,,pressure builds there too,,,,,,not good, power loss. If you hook up PAIR to crankcase vent the scavenging effect of exhaust can be used to lower the pressure in crankcase= more power.F1,Moto Gp teams spent shit loads of money trying to lower internal power losses,so why not use what is already there, for free. Of course this mod is not as good as dedicated crankcase scavenging system,or dry sump with air pump, but it is free.Of course selenoid valve has to be bypassed or modded so it is alwayes open.
