buddyrm
Hi, I am in the process of getting new pads for a 2001 CBR1100xx and get the same answer that the pads are the same dimensions for front and back from some parts dealer. HONDA has a different part number for front and back. Has anyone changed pads and confirmed that they are the same size?
Redbird
Yes, same size and part number front and back from anyone but Honda.
redxxrdr
I don't remember what is different, but the OEM Honda rear pad has a extra tab or slot. All else is the same. I put a set of EBC HH pads on my 01. All three sets were the same and work great.

R1000
Hi, I am in the process of getting new pads for a 2001 CBR1100xx and get the same answer that the pads are the same dimensions for front and back from some parts dealer. HONDA has a different part number for front and back. Has anyone changed pads and confirmed that they are the same size? The SBS pads I use has different material front and rear. They are both sintered but the front pads are high friction and the rear is normal or low friction. This is to prevent rear lock up/slides. It is shown in their on-line cataloque http://www.sbs.dk/index.dsp?area=
BlueBlackBird
Glad to hear that the EBC HH pads are the same , front and rear, the company(in Cal) that I ordered from had the same #'s for both, yet Honda has different #'s, sort of had me worried being way up north in Canada, plan on putting the rears on at NeXXt!! maybe even the front
