Tripple X Double X'er
I have noticed over the last couple of months that it seems like my clutch lever is moving further and further out before the poinout.t of engagement. Is there a simple adjustment, or do I need to be thinking about replacing it? If it needs to be replaced how difficult of a repair is it? How do you know when your CCT is going bad? Are there any other signs other than a funny noise? Does a clutch start making any noise when it's on its way out?
blackhawkxx
No adjustment on clutch. If it were me, I would pull the clutch rod out and clean it and change the clutch fluid. XX clutches are pretty tough.
redxxrdr
+1 on the clutch rod. You can remove the slave cylinder without purging the fluid. Once removed, the rod pulls out. Mine usually is full of chain lube and dirt. The only things I saw with the CCT was increased noise, more soot buildup on the cans, and a decrease in mileage. They are cheap from John, so if you are up in mileage, change it.
