Canadian Bird
What's the best fork oil available? An other oil thread? Is synthetic fork oil available, preferable? Next ? Will it be necessary to shim the rear with a Penske remote rear shock? Why would use anything other than OEM fork oil weight? Cheers
XXTi
No need for a shim with a Penske. They are adjustable for ride height. I'm using 10wt Silkolene "Race" fork oil with 1.05 kg/mm, 100mm over length fork springs. It works for me. Some people like to play with other fork oil viscosities to change their damping characteristics. I'm happy with the new springs, standard weight fork oil and stock valves. rodantking
I thought it was over dampened so I am running 5w. I would like a little more rebound now, but it is still much better for me. I don't think anyone is going to say anything bad about Silkolene. I would say what ever you put in use the top of there product line.
