BDAZ XX
Tire Pressure database
blackhawkxx
From that site: All tire pressure values are collected for the standard tires of the specified model. Your motorcycle may be customized or use alternative tires. If the pressure values listed here are different from your manual or placard, you should consult your tire specialist. They are way different.
BDAZ XX
Thats about what I run on the XX and the RC for the type of street riding I do, regardless of make of tire. I dont commute nor do I do any freeway or intown riding. Most all of my riding is country roads and twisties.
Crazy Dave
Interesting that you posted that table. I just had new Pilot Powers put on the Bird and of course, following the tire pressure guide on the bike @ 42 psi, it ride like a cement mixer. What would you suggest for me?? 140#s solo riding with no peg dragging.
BDAZ XX
I've never ran PP but I would venture to say around the low to mid 30's with your weight. I got you by almost 100 lbs and run 34-36 when I set her up for play mode. 42 for slabbing trips.
Crazy Dave
Thanks, I'll drop them to 35 and try it when it warms up.

xrated
PP's are really happy at 31/31 on my 1000RR for twisty stuff and a little lower for track day use. Since I don't do a lot of slabbing or distance, I keep them at those pressures all the time.
shovelstrokeed
For reference, I've been running 37/39 on my Pilot Roads for everyday riding. I kick the rear up to 40 for long travel with luggage (freeway). Drop off to 34/36 when I get to the good stuff which is rare as I live in the land of 311 miles and 11 turns. 7K on the set so far and the rear is slightly squared and a little raised ridge on the front. I should get an easy 2K more out of them. I really like these tires and will probably go with them again.
Para045
I am running a PP front PR rear combo and usually run 41/41 and have no problems, the front has about 2000km on it, the rear has nearly 10 000 km that I have put on it ( was on the bike when I got it ), it looked about 2/3 gone in the guts and about 1/3 gone on the sides when I got her and she now is badly squared off and is just starting to peel the top layer of rubber off the carcase in the guts and about 1mm on the edges ( new PR next week )
