redxxrdr
2001 with a K&N. I clean the filter at each 3k oil change. I usually find bugs, sometimes feathers, once raccoon hair, (don't ask). But this time there was a substantial amount of sand in the incoming side of the airbox. The filter was not that dirty, but I could pick up sand with my fingers. What do you see when you remove the filter /airbox cover? I wonder if it is because it is harvest season around here. :icon_think:
Crazy Dave
1. Sand in airbox can be a direct result of riding with front tire on ground. Elavating air intake to eye level will lessen chance of further sand collection. 2. Do not park bike in kid's sandbox.
