Shinko Tires

I know a few of you out there are running Shinko tires, and I would like to know what you think of them, and which models you recommend for someone who lives in FL and sees a corner every 1500 miles or so. I am in need of a new front, and I am running a Pilot Road in the rear right now.

I have the 005 Advance tires on and I haven't come to a conclusion yet. They seem to be a little week in the grip dept. but I am in Illinois so I have not got them warm and been in the one curve in the state. I have only had them on about 2 weeks so like I said I have not made a decision yet. As for wear it has only been 2 weeks. They seem to turn in ok. My set before was a pilot road rear and a pilot power front and I like that combo very well. Sorry not much help but this is what I know with the short time I have been on them.

Not to hijack but since we are talking about the Shinkos. The directional mark on the front tire was backwards compared to every other directional tire I have seen. For example every directional tire I have seen, the front tread direction is opposite of the rear. On these Shinkos the front and rear tread direction is the same. Not sure what those Koreans are up to. Let me know if I am off my rocker.

I am running the SHINKO 009's front and rear, put them on in june at 51287, now have 54001, punctured the rear so have to change it now. Have lost 3mm odue to wear at the highest point. ( Imeasured the new tire and compared with the 1 about to come off)

Rode down to SEXXT and went through the dragon a couple of times no problem with grip rode back from sexxt to NY the last 400 miles was in a torrential downpour, no problem there either.

I am not the fastest rider and tip the scales at 290(ish), but still managed to get the chcken strip broke in For the price I paid I am happy with them.
