Mikey
I picked up a grease gun. How do I make the damn thing work? I pull the rubber off one end of the tube, peal the other end so it's open on both ends, pop it into the gun, pull the spring back, screw on the end...then what? I pump but nothing comes out. bad-dog
Two options look for a bleed screw near outlet hose, release screw till all air is out, then pump handle till all air is out of hose. Or loosen cap at hose end and once released pump the handle till grease comes out of tube. (both options may take a minute approx) Hope this helps
demon
Yea, you have to bleed the air out of it. I usually put the tube in and don't tighten it up all the way. Release the spring in the tube section allowing it to push grease/air toward top. Pump gun till you feel some resistance and then tighten the tube section. The air in the line will naturally be pushed out.
Mikey
Yep, those tips worked! Thanks a lot. I chewed through three cartridges trying to figure this damn thing out. Once there is grease you don't necessarily need to prime, but since this is new, I did. Damn. Oh, on a related note, are there any grease nipples on the XX? Hobi has grease nipples when He's on the XX. Metal pull tab end goes into the ass end first.
