sprack
I just dropped the forks to put the new new springs/oil in and noticed rust on the uppers around the clamps. Steel wool, scotchbrite, brass brush? What's the preferred way to get it off without ruining the gleam?

Ask for green stuff that removes rust. watery green, comes in quarts, gallons Dont get it on metalic paint! Ospho is one of the brand names, Phoz is another, Home Depot has a third brand, same stuff may require two or three apps, light scotch bright pad Dont get it on metalic paint, if you do ,keep a water hose handy to flush

Pete in PA
Blue Magic Liquid metal polish. Then wax occasionally so it doesn't rust again.
