shovelstrokeed Posted August 30, 2007 Share Posted August 30, 2007 I wouldn't worry about back EMF on just a relay. The load side is isolated from the control side and will feed nothing back when the contacts open. There is a small back EMF caused by the collapsing field of the relay coil inducing a voltage into the control circuit but it is generally pretty low and always very low amperage. By using the tail light bulb wiring, you will only be dumping the EMF into the tail light circuit. It can handle it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
