davesXX01
Anybody ever run this combo of sprocket? Clearance issues? Chain rubbing? The reason I want to run this is I want better acceleration, just not as much ratio as 16-45 or 17-46 ( smaller sprockets-less weight-fewer links) Dave
Guest rockmeupto125
Unless you are either you are splitting hairs. The difference in ration between the 16-45 and the 16-44 is maybe 1 or 2 hundred rpm. I don't see the point.
davesXX01
Rockme; #2 is why. You see, 16-45 drops your speed at 4000 rpm 4 mph compared to stock 17-45. 16-44 drops only 2 mph at 4000 rpm. Everybody loves droping 1 tooth in front for the sheer fun it provides but would probably go back to 17 if they went to MegaXX for example to get the better mileage. I would rather find the happy medium, have a little better acceleration and not lose too much mpg. Yes, I already have the front sprocket and the rear will be a Sidewinder to go with the wheel group buy! Dave
