sykotek-xx
Hooking up the audiovox cruise. What is the best source for vacuum on a FI bike? I am currently tapped in just before the MAP sensor. By the looks of things, this should be pulling vacuum from all 4 cylinders, as there is a hose coming from each TB to a 5 way tee that then goes to the map sensor. But with the bike idling there seems to be barely any vacuum there. Any better places?
Guest rockmeupto125
Must resist......but can't. Best source for vacuum would probably be the Pub.
sykotek-xx
And to think I thought that quick reply was going to be something insightful. I should have known. Got the crusie all installed, just gotta make it work now. Took pics. It was a bitch. Thanks again!
matey_peeps
Kirby. Expensive but they'll last for-fucking-ever. As for the source, shit they'll come to your home!
sykotek-xx
Would look strange strapped to the bike. I was thinking along the lines of somewhere on the intake......
RXX
Do you need vacuum at idle? I am about to install mine. This is an interesting question.

beondwacko
Does it call for ported vacuum or non ported vacumm? Ported is before the throttle blades( or in the airbox after the airfilter ) and non ported is after the throttle blade.
sykotek-xx
I don't know what it calls for, but I know it is working seemingly perfectly tapped just before the MAP sensor on my 2003, and that's without a aux vacuum canister. I test drove it yesterday, set it at 60 and it stayed at 60, not 59 and not 61, no surging, just perfect.
