Pete in PA
I have heard of misting water in the intake track. If works by hyper cooling the piston etc. causing the carbon to flake off. You don't want it flaking off in big chunks however, or it will cause damage getting past the exaust valve and seat. It's just easier running Seafoam through once and a while. I am trying Wal Marts own brand of fuel injector cleaner in my car. I can feel the difference. The plus is it's only $1.88 a bottle vs. $5.50 for Seafoam. Have to wait till spring to run it through the bike.
Guest rockmeupto125
Water injection cools the intake charge, making it denser. And also cools the cylinder, and therefore the engine. It also increases the effective compression ration, as it don't compress real good. It does some neat stuff about controlling flame propogation as well, the smart guys like Chris, Forrest, and Dean can probably lecture on. And has the added benefit of cleaning things up a tad, as anyone who's changed a leaking head gasket can attest to. So drink lots of water. Its good for you. The part about peeing in your gas tank may not be bunk. I say we contact Mythbusters....
