XXTC
I cannot get the chat room box to open up on my computer at home. If I left click on it, nothing happens. If I right click on it and hit "open in new window", another window opens but its the page cannot be displayed page. I have gone through all the suggested idaes on the page to no avail. and in the url line is "java script:void(o). What am I doing wrong here? I know that the chat room is not a big hit here, but it would be nice to be able to access that funtion if needed. Thank in advance Charlie
Northman
Chat works fine for me on Firefox, Charlie. Maybe you're missing a plugin? Do you have Java on your home computer? Do you have a pop-up blocker installed? If so, try switching it off. FWIW, I get the same message displayed on the bottom of my screen before clicking "Chat", but it opens a new window just fine. XXTC
Chris - I turned off my pop-up blocker and the same thing (nothing) happens. The one strange thing is that if I click on "chat" before I do anything else when I go to http://www.cbr1100xxforums.org/forum/ (the opening page I use for the forum), then minimize it and go to which ever section of the forum I want, it seems fine. But, if I go to the Pub first, then click on "chat", then I get then aforementioned messages. I guess that's one way to get around it, but it seems strange that I have to do this at home but not at work. I'm running XP home with Norton Security. Any other ideas? Thanks Bud. C.
