pdsw60
I bought a 2002 with 4700 miles on it. It is pretty smooth until about 5200-5300 rpms and the I get a little buzz in the handbars. My old bike (RIP) didn't do this. Any ideas?
K9XX
little buzz in the handbars I personally wouldn't worry over a small buzz. I have ridden about a dozen other Birds besides mine now. All of them have had slight differences here and there. Sounds like something you just have to get used to, unless there are other symptoms  Really, a 100 RPM gap is nothing
pdsw60
Maybe i wasn't clear it starts at about 5200 - 5300 rpms.
Iceman_40
Does it get worse as the RPM go up or does it disappear?
pdsw60
It doesn't get any worse. I can't really say if it goes away either.
demon
Does it change with speed instead of RPM?
MileHi
Maybe i wasn't clear it starts at about 5200 - 5300 rpms. Yeah, and a few more details would be helpful... Kinda like my Ex calin' me up and telling me she got the blue screen of death... I ask her what the error said and she tells me she doesn't know 'cuz she rebooted the PC... BarryG
My right bar got a little buzzy. I found that the bar end was loose. I unscrewed it and then matched everything up in there and re-tightened. It seemed to help a good amount....get little buzz now. I do get some peg buzziness in 5th but the rpms have to be around 7k or higher.
pdsw60
It's about the same @ 5200-5300 rpm no matter what gear I'm in.
