I want to ride my bird more and more out here but am having alot of heat related issues. I am looking for idea's how to get the engine to run cooler. At a stop light my temp will climb to 245-250 (at long lights) but while moving I hover between 219-228. Been a few members thats gone with dual fan setup, not sure it that would help at stop lights but may cool down the XX faster once you get moving. I agree 240-250 is too hot if that is the true temp. If never, some new coolant and distilled water should knock a few degrees off the temp gauge. Also, get some Water Wetter: http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/redtech3.htm Edit: For the desert I'd do 75% distilled water, A couple of ounces of water wetter (it's 1 oz for every gallon in the cooling system) and a quality anit-freeze for the rest.
