JB4XX
going to do a chain and sprocket swap on friend's 97XX this weekend. he bought a Sunstar 16T front sprocket and DID 530 120 length chain. Involute
Tim doesn't know Shit from Shinola and Northman's just a Suck-Up. You need 110 links.
Redbird
Being that I have no idea what "shinola" is, you're probably right Do I hear 111?
Involute
111 would work like shinola.
Northman
109.75 links would work better.

DSRbikes
What if you had a 44t rear and a 16t front. How many links then? I just got a Regina chain/sprocket set. Stock ratios. I noticed that when I took the rear off I had a 44t on there. How did that affect my ODO/Speedo readings? I had a Renthal on the back and man I don't recommend those for this bike if you a high mileage kind of rider. I think I only got about 8k miles out of it. Superlight though. I keep hearing you guys talk about changing out the front each time. I have JT 17t on the front and it looks almost new still as far as the tooth shape goes. Comparing it to the wear on the back (granted the back was aluminum) I'm not sure I aggree. Honestly, I'm tempted to put the new Steel sprocket on in the rear and go. Go ahead tell me what you think. I can take it. Dameon
bturd
well if the front still looks new, no point replacing it
