XX4me
Maybe I lost mine, but I don't remember a tool for adjusting the rear shock preload in the standard kit.
Northman
There isn't one in the kit. Racetech makes a tool for the type of shock we have factory. Otherwise, you have to resort to a long punch & hammer technique. :?

bar10dah
I picked up a MotionPro for something like $5.95.
Pete in PA
If you're breaking loose the locknuts for the first time you might as well remove it. On both my XR and XX I had to remove the shock to break them loose. Honda must be worried they will move by themselves.

HERBXX
I used a long punch to knock the top ring counter clockwise, then i was able to tap the bottom ring tighter. After getting the rings where I wanted them i put a dap of silicon sealant on the threads to keep em from moving Herb
