I'm trying to find a new radiator cap for an 02 XX: Ronayers has 2 parts listed: 19045-GBF-700 ($25.34) and 19045-MY3-621 ($22.06) Any idea which one? birdie_xx Posted June 2, 2005 Share Posted June 2, 2005 When you buy the cap, it comes with the seal. The separate part# for the seal is there so you can buy just that, without the cap.... There are two radiators listed, and I belive the carbed and FI bikes varry here. The later number should be the newer radiator. I'go with the later cap number as well, for your '02 bike. Just for kicks, I checked with my dealer and the second part # is for the FI 'Birds, from '99 on.... So you want the 19045-MY3-621 part..... I had a radiator cap fail on my cbr1000f and it dumped coolant all over the rear tire (and that stuff is almost as slick as oil). Luckily i was just pulling into the parking deck at work when it happened. About a minute earlier i was ripping thru the cloverleafs commuting to work, that would have gotten very, very ugly.
