ar50racer
Does anyone have the bearing code# for the tapered steering head bearings, I'd like to go down to the local bearing shop if I could, they are probably half the price there.
wrgoudy
Don't know the part numbers, but you should be able to get a full set of tapered bearings (upper and lowers) from "All Balls" set for around $30.00.

The Krypt Keeper
www.allballsracing.com should work I got the parts number written down at home for the bird. Parts411.com also have them for like $5 cheaper... BUT minimum order from them is $40 I looked all this up yesterday after 700 miles this weekend with a funny wobble on my brand new Avon 49SP

ar50racer
I ordered the Allballs bearings from Denniskirk $36 shipped, the Allballs Part# is "22-1020 Steering Bearing & Seal Kit". When I recieve them I will post the bearing code # and you should be able to get it from a local bearing house for probably half price. Most bearings are universal and can be used for many different applications and could have came from the same plant. The dealers and aftermarket just buy them and mark them up A LOT!!! Guest rockmeupto125
Reference numbers for the roller bearing units should be 2492825 and 2492833. You'd have to cross those to tapered bearings. Keep in mind that the later GL1500 (NOT 1800) have tapered bearings, and they fit the XX.
ar50racer
Got my bearings from All Balls Racing and this are the #'s on the bearings KML is on both and "32005XR/26" is on the small bearing and "32006X" on the larger bearing. I'll try calling a bearing house later this week and find out how much they go for.
